The long-running marriage drama between Jose Chameleone and Daniella Atim has taken a major new twist after the couple reportedly agreed to officially end their marriage.
According to fresh court mediation reports, Chameleone real name Joseph Mayanja is expected to pay Daniella about $2,000 every month, roughly UGX 7.5 million to UGX 8 million, for the upkeep of their children.
The mediation process was reportedly conducted before High Court Judge Jane Okuo Kajuga after months of negotiations between both camps.
Sources close to the case say Daniella will retain custody of the couple’s five children, while Chameleone will be granted visitation rights.
But the biggest fire in the saga may still be coming.
The battle over the couple’s wealth and properties is reportedly far from over. Earlier filings indicated disagreements over the division of assets, with reports suggesting both sides were negotiating how to split property accumulated during their 17-year marriage.
The couple has lived separately for years after Daniella relocated to the United States with the children.
Daniella previously accused the Leone Island boss of abandonment, cruelty, and emotional neglect in court filings, while Chameleone pushed back against the claims and insisted he continued supporting the family.
The agreement is reportedly awaiting final court approval before becoming legally binding.
