A new adventure is already underway for Crested Cranes striker Juliet Nalukenge.
The Ugandan international has officially bid farewell to Mexican Liga MX Femenil outfit Atlas Femenil, bringing her stint with the Guadalajara-based side to an emotional end. In a heartfelt message to the club, Nalukenge thanked Atlas for believing in her and providing a platform to continue her growth on the international stage.
“Thank you, Atlas Femenil FC, for the opportunity, trust, and for opening doors for me,” Nalukenge wrote. “I am grateful for every experience, lesson, and memory made along the way.”
But there has been little time for goodbyes.
The former FUFA Women's Player of the Year has already secured her next destination, completing a move to Club Puebla Femenil ahead of the Apertura 2026 campaign. Multiple reports and club announcements indicate that Puebla moved quickly to bring in the explosive Ugandan attacker as part of their squad rebuilding plans.
Nalukenge arrives at Puebla after gaining valuable experience in Mexican football with Atlas, where she became one of the few Ugandan players competing in one of the strongest women's leagues in the Americas.
The transfer marks another significant milestone for the 22-year-old forward, whose journey from Uganda to Europe and now Mexico continues to raise the profile of Ugandan women's football on the global stage.
For Crested Cranes fans, all eyes will now be on Puebla as Nalukenge begins a fresh chapter, carrying the hopes of Uganda into yet another major challenge abroad.
