A fresh war of words has erupted between veteran singer Grace Nakimera and outspoken media personality Isaac Katende, popularly known as Kasuku.
The drama started after Kasuku reportedly suggested that Nakimera did not quit music because of witchcraft, as she had previously claimed, but rather because she landed a highly paying job with a non-governmental organization (NGO).
His remarks did not sit well with the former music star.
A furious Nakimera hit back, telling Kasuku to keep quiet if he does not have factual information about someone’s situation instead of commenting on everything without evidence.
The “Anfukula” singer maintained that she walked away from the music industry at the peak of her career because she could no longer handle what she was going through behind the scenes.
Nakimera insisted that witchcraft is real within the entertainment industry and should not be mocked or dismissed by people who have never experienced its effects firsthand.
According to the singer, many individuals continue to suffer silently because of such spiritual battles, and hearing influential personalities make light of their experiences only adds to their pain.
She further stressed that people facing these challenges deserve empathy rather than ridicule, warning against turning sensitive matters into entertainment content.
The exchange has sparked debate among fans, with some siding with Kasuku’s skepticism while others believe Nakimera has every right to share her personal experiences and speak about what she believes forced her away from the spotlight.
For now, Nakimera appears determined to defend her story, making it clear that her exit from music was far more complicated than simply choosing a better-paying career path.
