Fresh political drama has erupted after former Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko made explosive claims about the health of former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among.
Speaking during a TikTok broadcast, Nsereko alleged that Among is battling a serious medical condition involving a blood clot in her legs and is currently unable to walk. According to him, her legs have become severely swollen and she urgently requires specialized medical attention.
The former legislator painted a worrying picture of Among’s condition, claiming he had personally observed her deteriorating health and warning that the situation could become more serious if treatment is delayed. Several Ugandan news platforms reported the remarks shortly after the video began circulating online.
However, the claims remain unverified.
Neither Among nor her official representatives have publicly commented on the allegations, and no medical records or independent evidence have been presented to substantiate Nsereko’s assertions. Government authorities and Parliament had also not issued any official statement on the matter as of publication.
The development comes at a time when Among remains a subject of intense public and political attention following recent controversies and investigations that have kept her largely out of the public spotlight.
For now, the story remains at the level of a public claim made by Nsereko. Until official confirmation emerges from Among, her family, medical professionals, or government authorities, the reported health condition should be treated as an allegation rather than an established fact.
