Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro has been nominated for the prestigious 3rd International Women Parliament Awards, set to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she will represent Uganda in the Governance and Leadership category.

The International Women Parliament Awards recognize outstanding women leaders from around the world who have made significant contributions to governance, public service, policymaking, and women's empowerment. The 2026 edition is scheduled to coincide with the International Day of Parliamentarism in September, bringing together women parliamentarians, policymakers, and leaders from dozens of countries.
