A major twist has shaken Uganda’s entertainment industry.

After days of tension surrounding a possible December concert war, singer Jose Chameleone has reportedly stepped back and surrendered the highly contested December 4 booking at Lugogo Cricket Oval to King Saha.

According to a letter circulating online and attributed to Chameleone’s Leone Island Music Empire, the music legend voluntarily released the venue reservation that had initially been secured for his anticipated “Chameleone Unlimited” concert.

The move comes after reports emerged that both Chameleone and King Saha were eyeing the same date, setting up what many fans feared would become one of the biggest concert showdowns Uganda has seen in recent years.

In the letter, Chameleone reportedly authorized Lugogo Cricket Oval management to transfer the booking to Kings Love Entertainment, the company linked to King Saha. The singer reportedly described the decision as being made in the interest of the entertainment industry and fellow stakeholders.

The development has shocked fans because the two artists have not enjoyed the smoothest relationship in recent months. Once mentor and protégé under the Leone Island camp, Chameleone and Saha have been surrounded by growing talk of a fallout, making this gesture even more unexpected.

Despite releasing the venue, Chameleone reportedly made it clear that his “Chameleone Unlimited” concert remains on course and will be announced on a new date later.

The decision now leaves King Saha with a clear runway to stage what could become one of the biggest concerts of his career at Lugogo Cricket Oval, while fans wait to see when Chameleone will finally unveil his next concert plans.

For now, the December 4 battle appears to be over before it even started and King Saha has emerged with the venue, the date, and the spotlight.
