A fresh controversy has engulfed Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone after claims circulated on social media alleging that he had conducted a DNA test which reportedly showed one of his children was not biologically his.
The allegation, attributed to Bukedde TV entertainment journalist Josephat Sseguya and widely shared across Facebook and other social media platforms, quickly attracted public attention. However, no DNA report or other evidence has been made public to support the claim.
Responding in a strongly worded statement shared on his social media pages, Chameleone dismissed the allegation as completely false and accused Sseguya of spreading malicious information.
The singer’s response suggested he is considering legal action.
The dispute has generated widespread discussion online, with many fans weighing in on the sensitive issue of paternity and privacy. As of publication, neither Sseguya nor Bukedde TV had publicly released any DNA results or documentary evidence supporting the allegation.
If Chameleone proceeds with legal action, the matter could become one of Uganda’s latest high-profile defamation disputes involving public figures.
For now, the celebrated musician maintains that the allegations are entirely false and says he intends to defend his reputation through the courts if necessary.
