KASUKU’S “AMBASSADOR” DRAMA LEAVES FANS CONFUSED AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA ERUPTS

For a moment, social media genuinely believed that media personality and YouTuber Isaac Daniel Katende alias Kasuku had secured an ambassadorial role.

The rumors exploded across X, TikTok and entertainment platforms after reports started circulating that the outspoken commentator was headed for an ambassadorial appointment linked to the new government setup. Several blogs and social media pages amplified the claims, with some fans already congratulating him for what they thought was a major political breakthrough.

The buzz grew so fast that many Ugandans were left wondering whether Kasuku was truly preparing to swap entertainment gossip for diplomatic duties.

But as the story continued spreading, it became clear that much of the excitement was built around social media banter, entertainment talk shows and playful speculation rather than a confirmed government appointment.

Videos and clips circulating online showed people joking about "Ambassador Kasuku," while others appeared to deliberately fuel the mystery, leaving fans divided between believing the story and treating it as pure entertainment.

The confusion only made the story bigger.

Some supporters celebrated what they thought was Kasuku’s rise from entertainment commentator to national figure, while critics questioned whether the reports were genuine or simply another Kampala social media stunt designed to get everyone talking.

As of now, no official government communication confirming a diplomatic appointment for Kasuku has publicly emerged, meaning the ambassador narrative remains more of a viral social media moment than a confirmed state announcement.

One thing is certain: Kasuku managed to get the whole country talking about an ambassadorial role, whether it was real, a misunderstanding, or one of the most successful pranks and publicity waves Kampala social media has seen this week.
