MUSEVENI CRACKS WHIP! MULAGO LAND SAGA EXPLODES AS TOP OFFICIALS FACE ARREST OVER FIRST PHARMACY BUILDING

A massive storm is building inside government corridors after President Yoweri Museveni reportedly directed investigators to go after senior officials linked to the controversial Mulago hospital land saga involving First Pharmacy.

The explosive development has sent panic through sections of the Lands Ministry, Mulago Hospital administration and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) after reports emerged that the President demanded answers on how land believed to belong to Mulago National Referral Hospital allegedly ended up in the hands of an individual connected to First Pharmacy.

Sources indicate that Museveni was left furious after learning that a permanent commercial structure had been allowed to rise on land reportedly earmarked for expansion of the Uganda Heart Institute at Mulago.

The President is said to have questioned how KCCA officials approved construction plans on land known to be part of the Mulago hospital complex.

Now, the pressure is reportedly shifting toward possible arrests and criminal investigations targeting officials who handled the land transfer process, approved documentation or cleared the construction works.

The controversy comes against the backdrop of long-standing scrutiny surrounding private pharmacies operating within Mulago Hospital premises. Previous parliamentary probes and reports had already raised questions about the operations of First Pharmacy and other private drug outlets inside the national referral hospital.

Fresh claims now suggest that the disputed land could be repossessed by government, with reports further indicating that Museveni wants the First Pharmacy building demolished to pave way for a new heart institute expansion project.

The alleged directive has triggered intense discussions within political and health circles, with many now waiting to see whether investigators will move against senior officials accused of facilitating the controversial land transactions.

By Tuesday evening, there had been no official public statement yet from KCCA, the Lands Ministry or Mulago Hospital leadership confirming the reported arrests or demolition timeline. However, the matter is rapidly escalating and could become one of the biggest government land scandals tied to a public health institution in recent months.
