Ugandan music star Sheebah Karungi has once again set social media buzzing after making one of the boldest relationship confessions Kampala has heard this year.
And this time, it is not about music.
It is marriage.
The “Nkwatako” singer left fans stunned after openly revealing that she would not mind joining a polygamous marriage — even if she became wife number four… or wife number ten.
Yes, number ten.
Speaking during a conversation on her podcast, Sheebah calmly explained that traditional romance no longer matters to her the way many people expect. According to the singer, emotional understanding and mental connection are more important than constantly being physically present with a partner.
“As long as you explain it to me and I meet my co-wives and they are nice, I’m okay with it,” Sheebah said.
“I can be number four, I can even be number ten.”
That single statement immediately exploded across Ugandan entertainment blogs and social media pages, with fans divided right down the middle.
Some praised her honesty, calling her “mature” and “realistic” about modern relationships.
Others were completely shocked that one of Uganda’s biggest female celebrities could openly support sharing a husband.
But Sheebah was not done.
The singer went even deeper and explained that she can stay months without physically seeing her man as long as communication remains strong.
“My kind of love is mental,” she said.
“If our emotions connect, you can be with your other wives as long as you call me and we talk.”
The comments instantly revived old speculation surrounding her alleged relationship with UK-based businessman and music promoter Jaffar Suleiman, a man who has repeatedly been linked to the singer over the past few years.
Rumours around the pair became even louder earlier this year after Jaffar publicly confirmed he is the father of Sheebah’s son Amir during birthday celebrations for the child.
Now fans are connecting dots again.
On TikTok, Facebook and X, Ugandans immediately started debating whether Sheebah’s latest confession was indirectly revealing details about her real-life relationship situation behind closed doors.
Others claimed the singer may simply be challenging traditional expectations placed on successful women.
For years, Sheebah has openly spoken about independence, power and refusing to live according to society’s rules. Even before motherhood, the singer repeatedly hinted that settling down traditionally was never her ultimate dream.
Still, her latest remarks hit differently.
Especially because polygamy remains one of the most controversial relationship topics in Uganda’s celebrity circles.
In Kampala entertainment life, whispers about wealthy businessmen having multiple partners are common, but very few female celebrities openly admit they would willingly accept such an arrangement.
That is exactly why Sheebah’s confession has become today’s hottest celebrity conversation.
And as the debate grows louder online, one thing is already clear, Queen Karma knows exactly how to keep Uganda talking.
