It was a day of celebration, joy, and unforgettable moments as Patriotic League of Uganda mobilizer Frank Mwesigye officially married his longtime fiancée, Laureen Natasha, in a colorful church ceremony in Kampala.
The wedding, which attracted family, friends, political figures, and socialites, was officiated by Archbishop Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, adding a prestigious touch to the highly anticipated occasion.
Mwesigye, popularly known on social media as the “Honourable of All Peasants,” looked delighted as he exchanged vows with Natasha before a congregation that had gathered to witness the couple’s special milestone.
The wedding comes months after Mwesigye completed a traditional introduction ceremony in which he reportedly paid bride price consisting of 14 Friesian cows, a gesture that drew widespread attention and admiration from supporters.
Preparations for the big day had been the subject of conversation among friends and followers for weeks. Reports indicate that more than 700 million shillings was mobilized to facilitate the grand event, reflecting the strong support network surrounding the outspoken activist.
After the church ceremony, celebrations shifted to Kigo Gardens, where a lavish reception unfolded in the presence of several high-profile guests. Among those spotted at the function were businessman Frank Gashumba, Godfrey Mukula, and a number of Members of Parliament who joined in congratulating the newlyweds.
As photos and videos from the wedding circulated online, social media platforms quickly filled with warm messages, prayers, and congratulatory notes from supporters wishing the couple a happy and successful marriage.
For Frank Mwesigye and Laureen Natasha, the day marked the beginning of a new chapter — one celebrated with elegance, tradition, and the presence of some of the country’s notable figures.
